Emson has over 31 years’ experience in the IT Industry with various industry certifications such as Cisco Certified Internet Expert (CCIE) and Cisco Certified Internet Profession (CCIP) in Packet Telephony .He is affiliated with the following professional bodies : Corporate Member of Zimbabwe Institution of Engineers (MZweI) and ,Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (MIEEE) , Emson is a Member of the Advisory Council for Department of Informatics at the University of Pretoria since 2010. He has served both public and private sectors.
